GoHighLevel
Publish SiteLift articles to a GoHighLevel blog from a sub-account private integration token.
How it works
SiteLift publishes through the GoHighLevel blog API using a private integration token from the sub-account that owns the blog. You pick the blog (and optionally an author) once; each article is then created as a published post with its cover image, description and tags, and a republish updates the same post.
Setup Guide
- 1
Create a private integration
In the sub-account open Settings → Private Integrations and click Create new integration. Name it SiteLift.
Enable the Blogs scopes: blog posts read and write, blog authors read, blog categories read. Save and copy the token; it is shown once.
The Location ID is under Settings → Business Profile.
- 2
Connect and pick the blog
Open Settings → Integrations, choose GoHighLevel, enter the location ID and token. SiteLift lists the blogs and authors in that location; pick the blog and, if you like, an author.
- 3
Publish
Articles publish on your content calendar schedule. Agency-level tokens do not work; the token must belong to the sub-account.
Tip
What gets published
- Title and cover image. The blog layout renders both, so the H1 and hero image leave the body and are sent as the post title and cover image (with alt text).
- Description and slug. The meta description becomes the post description and the article slug becomes the URL slug.
- Structured data. The JSON-LD is appended to the body as a script tag.
- Tags and categories. Keywords become tags; categories come from the ones you picked when connecting.
Competitor comparison pages
Published as blog posts. GoHighLevel has no API for site pages, so each comparison page goes out as a post with the same title, body, meta description and structured data. The posts use your blog layout and appear in the blog feed. Create a blog category named Comparisons in GoHighLevel before connecting (or reconnect after): SiteLift files the posts under it and its listing page becomes the hub. The dashboard shows a warning to that effect.
Troubleshooting
- 401 from GoHighLevel. The token was pasted incompletely, belongs to a different sub-account than the location ID, or is missing the Blogs scopes. Create a new private integration and reconnect.
- No blogs listed. The location has no blog site yet. Create one under Sites → Blogs, then connect again.
- No published URL shown. GoHighLevel does not always report the blog’s public address. The post is live on your blog; the link in SiteLift fills in once the blog reports a domain.
