Article Management

While SiteLift is fully autonomous, you maintain complete control over the final output. Use our built-in Notion-style editor to review and tweak content before it goes live.

While SiteLift is fully autonomous, you maintain complete control over the final output. Once an article is generated, you can refine it using our powerful suite of management tools.

Notion-Style In-Place Editing

When you click on any article in your project dashboard, you will be taken to our Rich Text Editor. This editor supports a seamless, Notion-style experience.

  • Full Control: Edit the article title, body content, and formatting directly in-place.
  • Rich Formatting: Insert links, format text, and structure your headings just like you would in a modern document editor.

Article Image Library

Every single article comes with its own dedicated image library. SiteLift automatically generates and places contextually relevant images within your articles.

If you want to swap an image, simply click on any image in the editor. The article's specific image library will pop up, allowing you to instantly replace the current image with another AI-generated option from the gallery or upload your own custom image.

Website Screenshots

To build trust and provide visual context in your articles, SiteLift can reference screenshots of your actual website.

Navigate to the Settings > Generalpage of your dashboard to upload a high-quality screenshot of your site. Don't have one? You can use our built-in Retake button to have our system automatically capture a fresh screenshot of your homepage.

Publishing & Restrictions

Editing after publishing: A published article stays editable in SiteLift. Save your changes as usual, then click Republish changes to update the live post. The existing post is updated in place, so its URL, comments, and search rankings are untouched.

  • WordPress, Webflow, Shopify: the same post or item is updated. A new one is never created.
  • Webhooks: your endpoint receives an article.updated event with the full article, instead of article.published.
  • Next.js and Custom API: your site reads articles from SiteLift, so a save is enough. The change shows once your site refreshes its cache.
  • SiteLift Hosted: a save goes live immediately.

Warning

Republishing replaces the CMS copy. If you edited the post directly in WordPress, Webflow, or Shopify, those edits are overwritten the next time you republish from SiteLift. Keep the SiteLift editor as the single place you edit a SiteLift article.

Unpublishing: SiteLift never removes an article from your site. To take a live article down, set it to draft or delete it inside your CMS.

URL Slugs: The URL slug for an article is generated automatically and is permanently fixed. Slugs cannot be edited, even when you republish. This guarantees that internal links and external distribution links never break.

Auto-Publishing: You can configure Auto-Publishing in your settings. SiteLift will automatically push approved articles to your connected CMS at your desired scheduled time, completely hands-free.

Exporting Content

Need to use the content elsewhere? You can easily export any article's content directly from the dashboard in either Markdown (MD) or raw HTML format with a single click.
